Call of Duty World at War Tips

If you are tired of repeatedly dying in Call of Duty World at War, I have some tips which should help you play better. CoD 5 WaW can be a frustrating game, especially if you have not played a previous Call of Duty game. These CoD 5 World at War tips apply in both single player, and multiplayer matches.

If you only stay alive for seconds at a time, you need to approach each life with great importance. Running blindly into battle alone will only get you killed again and again. In order to gain some skills with the weapons, try camping — waiting for enemies to come to you is a good way to rack up the kills and earn achievements.

If you don’t like the idea of camping, you can at least be tactical in the ways you approach your enemies. Running into the same spot or building over and over is very predictable and is a guaranteed death. If you stop or pause don’t forget to constantly scan the area you are in, keeping an eye on ledges and trees, and most importantly your back — nothing’s worse than getting bayoneted. Remember, to achieve victory you must keep a positive kill to death ratio.

Grenades are your friend — use them frequently. If you see someone running into a building or corner, don’t just rush at them blindly, lob a grenade before going in. Also practice bouncing grenades off of the walls, and don’t forget about smoke grenades which can mask your movements and your teammates will thank you too.

Don’t forget about your pistol. Practice switching to your pistol in the heat of battle as you are caught in the middle of a reload. The seconds you save doing this can mean the difference between coming out of a skirmish dead or alive.

In single player the Veteran difficulty is tough and you will die repeatedly if you do not approach it differently. Do not try to be a hero and rush in to battle first. By taking advantage of the infinite allied spawn waves and letting them go in first while you wait back, the AI soldiers will draw fire and occasionally make a kill or two. By doing this you will not find yourself taking on the entire Axis army alone.

Hopefully these Call of Duty World at War tips have been helpful. If you are still having trouble, watching some walkthrough videos will also help.

Call of Duty World at War Last WWII Game?

call of duty world at war water Call of Duty World at War Last WWII Game?

Great news today for gamers who are growing tired of the WWII genre. Following Infinity Ward’s shift to modern warfare with Call of Duty 4, Activision’s senior producer for Call of Duty World at War, Noah Heller, brings news that Treyarch’s CoD 5 WAW may be the last Call of Duty game with a World War II setting.

Heller said, “I won’t let your readers read into the comment too much, but we are showing the final battles of the Pacific and the European Theatre and that lets us put a close to the war. I’m sure game companies will be making World War II games for years to come and World War II is a very classic war. But we’re happy that we put the war to bed.”
